Happy Monday!

Hi everyone!!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend:)

I had a very relaxing "whole" weekend in the air conditioning because mom actually had a Saturday and Sunday off for once!!  She stayed home and out of the heat doing bunches of computer and photography work and of course lots of play time for me:-D  And you know what else?  She's on a new project of making and selling wall clocks and guess who's the star????  Me!  Yup....so far she's got three designs with my picture on it.  She says she's making them more for Halloween decorations but for use all the time as well.  Here's some of the clock samples and the links to the store if anyone wants to have a look.

Happy Wednesday!

Yup it's another Wednesday and it seems like we have finally hit the hot hot weather. It's supposed to reach 100 today and I think it's time for me to get another shave! Mom got one for me almost 2 months ago and it's starting to grow back pretty fast. How is everyone else dealing with the heat this summer? Hi fellow felines!:)) Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend. We have been busy bees this Spring. Mom has been extra busy at work as well as helping dad get back on his feet again. It's a long haul but we're so excited to see his improvement! Things with me are finally better too! I wasn't feeling so well after my 3 yr rabies shots and was throwing up for about three days with anything I ate or drank. Mom was so worried that she took me back to the vet 3 times until the vet finally gave her her own number to call her...lol Well I got better after not eating for 24 hrs. Now my food is cut way back and I am losing weight!! The vet says I needed to lose a few pounds since I weighed 17 lbs! In other news....mom has gotten involved in selling her art in yet another online site called Fine Art America. She's been doing very well in selling her photos on this site especially. She even has one up of me and is working on a few others as well.

There is a chance for mom to have one of her photos showcased in a national commercial and we can use all the votes we can get for this. Any help would be much appreciated. All you have to do is go to the links and vote for your fav. She need 250 votes to get to round 2 where the professional jury will decide. Finally Back!

Hi everyone! It's really good to be back here!! I can't wait to come by and visit with you all. It's been a long Winter and I really can't wait for the Spring to finally come. Mom's had a long and busy winter too and I'm sure glad she's finally able to actually sit and spend some time visiting on here. Dad was sick for a while and was in the hospital for a couple of months but he's on his way to getting better and is doing much better every day.

Mom did take some new pics of me around the holidays....I hope everyone got some great toys this year! But I truly cannot wait for some warmer weather. I love to sit by those big glass doors that go onto the balcony when the sun shines through first thing in the morning. It's my favorite spot in the house! Anyway, I think it's time I do a little catching up and see what everyone's been up to. Mom says she's going to try and keep up on here a a couple of time a week and I cant wait! Mom's Friday is my Friday!

Hi everybody! I haven't posted in almost a week and I'm sorry...mom has been really busy working and after work creating her cards for the holidays. Tonight is her Friday and mine too!!! She's mine for the next 2 days!!!! She took some photos of me for some new Holiday cards and I'm quite happy with the way they came out. My favorite is the one with that Christmas tale where not even a mouse can be found...you know why??? Hehehe.......;)

I love to please my mom when she spends time with me. She says I'm the perfect kitty for her photography. I heard her tell dad that it's uncanny how still I can be when she needs to take a pic...she's never seen anything like it.

Mid-Week Happy!

I hope everyone had a happy Wednesday! Mom had the day off today which surprised me. She usually leaves after she feeds me and then I take my usual all day nap but today she stuck around and wanted to play!!!

My favorite game is hide and seek. I always find her wherever she hides but it always takes so loooong for her to find me when I hide...hehehe:) Can you believe she couldn't find me when I hid in my chair or in the closet?? It took her forever...lol

Weekend Stories

Nothing much happened today except for mom having to work all weekend. Thank goodness dad was home to keep me company. While dad was on the computer he came upon some pictures of me when mom took me to get shaved at the beginning of summer. So I started thinking back to those memories and how scared I was when she brought me to the groomers...yikes!

I can't believe she actually brought her camera with her and was taking pictures while I was being tortured! I did hear the nice lady tell mom that I was very good through the whole thing...didn't she realize just how scared I was??? I think my look says it all. Why would I want to disobey what she was telling me to do while those scissors were so close to me??

When she finally got me home all bathed and shaved I ran right in to daddy and started playing...oh I was so happy to be home!

Oh it was soooo good to finally feel cool! I was really dragging for those first couple of weeks of warm weather. I overheard mom tell dad that I was sluggish and uncomfortable with all that hair. She was right. I know some of my friends with long hair don't like it to be shaved but I happen to really love it. My hair grows back by October and I feel warm when it gets cold.

Green Eyes or Yellow?

Mom & dad have this discussion often...do I have green or yellow eyes? Mom says that I have green b/c when she photographs me without a flash in natural light that I have green eyes. Dad says I have yellow eyes but mom says it's because of the flash that bounces off of them. Personally I'd like to think I have green eyes but I do agree with dad that a lot of times they do look yellow. Does anyone else have this problem?

Ahhhh finally Friday!

I felt a lot better today...my mom says my eye cleared up and it was probably an allergy. Here's a pic of me jumping on the tv table which she doesn't want me on being so close to the tv but hey, can you blame me? The view is beautiful....lol

Ahhh...Barnes & Noble.....I love it when she goes there. She brings the best bags home. I happen to love bags, especially paper, but the B&N bags are good for playing and hiding in...lol

Not feeling so good today...

I heard mom tell dad today that my eye was watering and the lid looked a tiny bit swollen.  It has been a little itchy but I think it's just allergies to something.  That's what she told dad anyway.  I did sleep a little more than usual.   The good part about today was that mom made my favorite meal!  She had the day off and for dinner she made a salmon & tuna pasta salad.  She loves to use shells.  Now I really don't eat table food...she only feeds me dry but when she makes tuna and salmon pasta, oh boy, she saves me a little of the fish for me!  It's really simple to make...here's the recipe from what I can tell:

Boil shell pasta and in a separate bowl.
Mix a little olive oil with red pepper flakes, fresh crushed garlic, celery, a little vinegar, & olives together and when the pasta is "al dente", mix it all together and let cool.
In a separate bowl she mixes the tuna and salmon with a little mayo.
Once the pasta is cooled she mixes everything together and the meal is done.  Oh does it smell good!

Mom just happens to be a photographer and artist and with that being said, guess whose pictures are displayed all over the house?  Yup, you guessed it....ME!  She makes all kinds of greeting cards of me as well.  I don't mind so much until she gets these crazy ideas to dress me up. She has a few online stores that she sells stuff in. Of course since I'm one of her favorite subjects, there's a bunch of cards and postage with me on it. Here's just one of her cards she made of me in my Halloween costume...don't I look cute? I wasn't too happy at the time b/c that hat kept falling off but it turned out pretty good.

  Ahhhh...finally a place where I can talk my feline gab and people are listening. Mom got smart, (took her a while), and created this whole blog just for me!!

  I would like to start by telling you a little about myself. I really don't remember where I was born except it was in New England. I think I was born outside and some kind lady found me and took me in. She was very responsible and made sure I was neutered. She had to give me up before I was one yr old because she had to move. I sure missed her but she made sure I would be taken care of. The student she gave me to loved kitties and gave me a good home while at college but when he graduated he had to leave me here in New England. His room mate and wife took care of me after he left but they had another cat....OhhhhNooooo.... I'd like to think I get along with my fellow felines but when you combine a 12 year old cat with 3 children under 6 in one household, I guess I got a little testy. They fed me and kept me warm but could tell I wasn't really happy since I kept hiding under things to get away from all the noise. I really just wanted a quiet mom and dad who would love and pay attention to me and only me. That doesn't sound too selfish, does it?
  
  
  Little did I know it at the time, but my "then" mom and dad decided to try and give me away. They took an ad out in the local craigslist and took a picture of me to post it. It didn't take long for someone to come and see me. "I WAS WANTED"!!! I tried to play hard to get when I saw these two strangers come into the house. This new lady tried to pick me up and talk to me but I was very evasive...THEN, she spoke to me! I mean REALLY spoke to me. She looked me in the eyes and meowed....that really broke my heart. I let her come to me and pick me up....she petted and kissed me with many kisses on my head & I fell in love! I guess she heard me purring....lol
  

  
  
  So this is where I am now...living in New Hampshire in a very high apartment. They won't let me go outside but I do have a very nice view of the river and woods outside my balcony. I have free roam of the house since there are no other animals and I get full attention from my new mom and dad. What more could I want???? Well I guess I'll have to tell you that in my next post...mom says it's too late and I can see she's getting tired. Guess I'll go and sip some water and wait for her to lay dow. She sure is warm on a cold October night...lol
  
  
  Oh, by the way, this picture she posted of me in the Yankee hat is totally me! Since mom loves the NY Yankees, so do I and I let her take a few shots with her hat on me. I must say, I do look good in a cap;)
