Finally Back!

Hi everyone! It's really good to be back here!! I can't wait to come by and visit with you all. It's been a long Winter and I really can't wait for the Spring to finally come. Mom's had a long and busy winter too and I'm sure glad she's finally able to actually sit and spend some time visiting on here. Dad was sick for a while and was in the hospital for a couple of months but he's on his way to getting better and is doing much better every day.

Mom did take some new pics of me around the holidays....I hope everyone got some great toys this year! But I truly cannot wait for some warmer weather. I love to sit by those big glass doors that go onto the balcony when the sun shines through first thing in the morning. It's my favorite spot in the house! Anyway, I think it's time I do a little catching up and see what everyone's been up to. Mom says she's going to try and keep up on here a a couple of time a week and I cant wait! Mom's Friday is my Friday!

Hi everybody! I haven't posted in almost a week and I'm sorry...mom has been really busy working and after work creating her cards for the holidays. Tonight is her Friday and mine too!!! She's mine for the next 2 days!!!! She took some photos of me for some new Holiday cards and I'm quite happy with the way they came out. My favorite is the one with that Christmas tale where not even a mouse can be found...you know why??? Hehehe.......;)

I love to please my mom when she spends time with me. She says I'm the perfect kitty for her photography. I heard her tell dad that it's uncanny how still I can be when she needs to take a pic...she's never seen anything like it.

Mid-Week Happy!

I hope everyone had a happy Wednesday! Mom had the day off today which surprised me. She usually leaves after she feeds me and then I take my usual all day nap but today she stuck around and wanted to play!!!

My favorite game is hide and seek. I always find her wherever she hides but it always takes so loooong for her to find me when I hide...hehehe:) Can you believe she couldn't find me when I hid in my chair or in the closet?? It took her forever...lol

Weekend Stories

Nothing much happened today except for mom having to work all weekend. Thank goodness dad was home to keep me company. While dad was on the computer he came upon some pictures of me when mom took me to get shaved at the beginning of summer. So I started thinking back to those memories and how scared I was when she brought me to the groomers...yikes!

I can't believe she actually brought her camera with her and was taking pictures while I was being tortured! I did hear the nice lady tell mom that I was very good through the whole thing...didn't she realize just how scared I was??? I think my look says it all. Why would I want to disobey what she was telling me to do while those scissors were so close to me??

When she finally got me home all bathed and shaved I ran right in to daddy and started playing...oh I was so happy to be home!

Oh it was soooo good to finally feel cool! I was really dragging for those first couple of weeks of warm weather. I overheard mom tell dad that I was sluggish and uncomfortable with all that hair. She was right. I know some of my friends with long hair don't like it to be shaved but I happen to really love it. My hair grows back by October and I feel warm when it gets cold.

Green Eyes or Yellow?

Mom & dad have this discussion often...do I have green or yellow eyes? Mom says that I have green b/c when she photographs me without a flash in natural light that I have green eyes. Dad says I have yellow eyes but mom says it's because of the flash that bounces off of them. Personally I'd like to think I have green eyes but I do agree with dad that a lot of times they do look yellow. Does anyone else have this problem?

Ahhhh finally Friday!

I felt a lot better today...my mom says my eye cleared up and it was probably an allergy. Here's a pic of me jumping on the tv table which she doesn't want me on being so close to the tv but hey, can you blame me? The view is beautiful....lol

Ahhh...Barnes & Noble.....I love it when she goes there. She brings the best bags home. I happen to love bags, especially paper, but the B&N bags are good for playing and hiding in...lol

Not feeling so good today...

I heard mom tell dad today that my eye was watering and the lid looked a tiny bit swollen.  It has been a little itchy but I think it's just allergies to something.  That's what she told dad anyway.  I did sleep a little more than usual.   The good part about today was that mom made my favorite meal!  She had the day off and for dinner she made a salmon & tuna pasta salad.  She loves to use shells.  Now I really don't eat table food...she only feeds me dry but when she makes tuna and salmon pasta, oh boy, she saves me a little of the fish for me!  It's really simple to make...here's the recipe from what I can tell:

Boil shell pasta and in a separate bowl.
Mix a little olive oil with red pepper flakes, fresh crushed garlic, celery, a little vinegar, & olives together and when the pasta is "al dente", mix it all together and let cool.
In a separate bowl she mixes the tuna and salmon with a little mayo.
Once the pasta is cooled she mixes everything together and the meal is done.  Oh does it smell good!
